About Me

SREEHARINI MURALI

-Biomedical Visualization and Communication - UBC

-B.E. in Biomedical Engineering - Mumbai University

Hi, I’m Sreeharini Murali, but I go by Harini! I’m a Toronto-based scientific illustrator and visual storyteller, passionate about making complex medical and scientific concepts more accessible through art. With a background in Biomedical Engineering and a Biomedical Visualization and Communication Certification from UBC (2022), I bring a unique blend of technical knowledge and artistic creativity to my work.

Before stepping into the world of medical illustration, I spent seven years in the healthcare software industry, gaining valuable firsthand experience that now shapes my approach to visual communication. This technical foundation, combined with my passion for art, allows me to translate intricate scientific ideas into compelling and informative visuals.

I’m proficient in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Blender, enabling me to create everything from detailed illustrations to engaging animations. I also enjoy working with acrylics, oil paints, and soft pastels, and I’m continually refining my figure sketching skills. In addition to biomedical illustration, I design logos and graphic elements, blending science and art in unique ways.

I’m always eager to explore new ways to tell visual stories that educate, inspire, and connect people to the world of science and medicine. Let’s collaborate and bring your ideas to life!
